The Inner Beauty

''The Inner Beauty''

For my dear wife, Janice

Written by Daryl Stout

Read to her on our wedding day, May 18, 2003...and now is lovingly dedicated to her memory, on her untimely death, April 27, 2007. Her death came just 3 weeks shy of our 4th wedding anniversary...and not even 3 months after the death of my father from pancreatic cancer.

1. Looks can be deceiving, and not what they seem.
That which is seen outwardly, and not what is unseen.
Folks judge a book, and its contents, by its cover there.
But, they miss the inner beauty, and what is really there.

2. On the sixth day of Creation, The Lord created man.
And then created helpmate Eve, with His Loving Hands.
Though God knew that they would fall, rebelling in their sin;
He'd send His Son to die for us, though enemies with Him.

3. A man one day may leave his family, for his future spouse.
Brought together as one by God, to form a brand new house.
But, both should be saved in Christ Jesus, and not spiritually lost;
Or conflict comes, destroys their lives; and that's too great a cost.

4. Husbands are to love their wives, as Christ loved the Church.
Submitting gracious to each other, not left in the lurch.
For you may agree to disagree, but take all of your cares
With humbled heart, on bended knee, to The Lord in prayer.

5. For though the couple may be saved, they have their natured sin.
When they confess their sin to Christ, they're made clean again.
For Christ saves repentant sinners, accepts them as they are.
And, with His Hand to guide you, from Him, you can't go far.

6. As Christ took us as we are, though we as sinners be.
He has a plan for all our lives, even with a spouse to be.
So accepting each other, as we are, both now and eternal life;
I Thank God each time I think of you, my dear Janice, love, and wife.
